How many character slots?

I would like to know how many character slots do one get when you buy the original WOW. In other words can I have more that one character or I only allowed one?

I think you can have 50 characters per realm if I am not mistaken, I have five on one realm and three on another

It's 9 per realm, can only have character of the same faction on PVP realms and of any faction on PVE realms. You are not llimited as to how many realms you can have characters on (besides the obvious number of realms that there are).

I think it's max 10 per server, 50 spread over all the servers.

On PVE realms you can mix the horde and ally chars but on pvp servers you are limited to one side.

There are only 9 classes. I do not see the need for more than 9 chars per server. (Kiss your life goodbye if you attempt to lev 9 chars to lev70)

Some people do use lev1 alts to store stuff.

to clear it up for everone, 12 per relm, any faction class etc, and 50 total. well at least it used to be, and i have 3 70s and 2 60s, yus i have no life =/
