I've just read that Coetzee has appointed more coaches.
So how many support staff does the Springbok squad have in terms of coaches, physios, doctors and what not?
How does it compare to the support squad of other countries?

Off hand it appears to me that it is becoming like or Cabinet.

Coetzee never had a choice of coaching staff, things went bad and now Coetzee want people around him he picked. Coetzee can't baby sit coaches with little experience. Hopefully Smith gets the backline to function.

This was the management team as announced on 12th April,

The Springbok Team Management is:

Head coach: Allister Coetzee

Assistant coach (backline): Mzwandile Stick

Assistant coach (forwards): Johann van Graan

Team manager: Ian Schwartz

Team doctor: Dr Jerome Mampane / Dr Conrad von Hagen (Southern Kings)

Strength and Conditioning coach: Dr Warren Adams

Physiotherapist: Vivian Verwant

Physiotherapist: Tanu Pillay

Logistics manager: JJ Fredericks

Media manager: Rayaan Adriaanse

PR manager: Annelee Murray

Johann van Graan is to be contracted by Bath as soon as his contract with the Springboks expires. In the current setup, he was the best suited assistant coach.

Bath Rugby coaching target Johann van Graan will not be released from his contract with the Springboks, according to media reports in South Africa.

The assistant coach of South Africa was initially being lined up as the replacement for scrum guru Neal Hatley and was present for Bath's final day victory over Leicester Tigers.

That now appears to be in doubt after new South Africa coach Allister Coetzee was reported to have denied van Graan's request to be released from his contract with the South African Rugby Union.

...

Even though Coetzee is reluctant to let van Graan leave, his decision to secure the services of his trusted forwards lieutenant Matt Proudfoot could help Bath's cause.

That is why Coetzee contracted his buddy, Matt Proudfoot, which has signed a 4-year agreement with the Springboks.

Coetzee explained that Van Graan will be in charge of all team attack and lineout play, while Proudfoot’s responsibility will be the Springboks’ scrummaging, breakdown and all aspects related to contact areas. Pieter de Villiers will continue to be available as scrum consultant to the national team.

As I understand, Sticks proceeded to take reign over the team's attack play...

Then SARU contracted Chean Roux as defence specialist,

Cape Town - Chean Roux will take charge of the Springbok defensive coaching duties during the Rugby Championship.

This was confirmed by coach Allister Coetzee after he named a squad of 31 players for the opening two matches of the Rugby Championship against Argentina.

Roux, who previously assisted the Boks as part of the Mobi Unit on refereeing and technical aspects, fills the vacancy left by Jacques Nienaber who recently left the Mobi Unit and SA Rugby to take up a post at Irish club Munster.

The 41-year-old Roux previously coached Maties and played as a loose forward for Western Province and the Stormers.

then just before the coaching indaba, SARU relieved him of his duties. Then proceeded, by the indaba, to temporarily contract Franco Smith, JP Ferreira and Louis Koen for the end-of-year rugby internationals.

This is the current coaching team,

Head coach: Allister Coetzee
Assistant coach (backline): Mzwandile Stick
Assistant coach (?): Johann van Graan
Assistant coach (forwards): Matt Proudfoot - to replace van Graan
Defence specialist: JP Ferreira (temporary) - replaced Chean Roux
Attack specialist: Franco Smith (temporary)
Kicking specialist: Louis Koen (temporary)

Like I said, Franco Smith is there to mentor Sticks.

It's a mess no wonder the team have no idea what they're doing with 10 coaches. We need one head coach and one assistant coach. What's the role of Coetzee if every other function is outsourced to someone else.

How can stick be given such an important role? This smells like a ministerial appointment. Seeing that pous of a minister show his face at our home games makes me sick to my stomach. He is purposely sabotaging the rugby team and then he has the guts to shake all the player's hands.

WHAT A SCUMBAG!
