All my trips never business, like going to off the beaten path destinations. North Koreans just get on with their lives, lots of poor people but I wouldn't believe much in the Western press these days. Tour guid was mid- twenties lady, super smart, latest tech and clued up everything going on in the world, happy to discuss anything. One could take pics of anything except military which is often the case elsewhere too. Plenty of tourists from the East, just no Westerners as they hide under their beds. North Korean ambassador issued my visa personally in Garsfontein. Sao Tome has some of the best chocolate and coffee on the planet, 3rd least visited tourist destination, how Mauritius, Seychelles was probably 50 yrs ago. Traveled the trans-Siberian too ... work from home works anywhere on the planet for the last few years.
Don’t get me wrong about Canada. Beautiful country. Great people - probably the best communities in the world. But, I grew up in rural Zululand, it was too much of a jump. The place was bitterly bitterly cold. Bone marrow chilling kinda coldGhana, China, Russia, Canada and Botswana. Lived in Canada for a while on work visa 2005. Couldn’t cope. Came back.
Don't worry if trump gets his way it will be part of the USOops. left out Canada
