My question is how many gigs can be achieved per month on NeoConnect +/- rough estimate.

The Reason I am asking this is to organize "USENET" accounts for Neotel users at special discounted rates.....

I am just thinking we can do roughly around 150 gigs - 200 gigs per month.

I'd say between 150-250GB per month if you're looking at top end usage. I think for most people though those levels will reduce once the novelty of truly uncapped internet wears off.

I agree with you.... I get no where near those figures and even with my 20Gb I find I run out of really interesting an useful things to download and merely download any cr_p to use my cap! Silly really and it explains the US now implementing caps of sort.

Now if they only supported higher upload speed, we could start hosting stuff our selves, like the internet suppose to be, not just consumers but contributors to the internet community

Rev A will be here october.

Rev A will be here october.

I know everyone on this forum is saying that Rev A will be here in October, but Neotel has not announced anything officially yet. Surely if they were actually going to release a new product they would be leading up to it in some way?

I really REALLY hope Rev A will indeed be here in October, however for now I'm not going to get my hopes up.

I had been enquiring to how I could get max signal strength on my device for optimal download speeds on my NeoConnect Lite package for the past 2 months as I mostly sit on 3 bars (Yes I know 3 bars is suffice, just I am a paying customer and expect the very best service for every cent I pay)

The Technician came to my house, tested the Prime Device and was over the moon at the Prime Devices performance (I want I want so bad, The Prime Devices performance is so much better than the Lite Device at my house pro-rata with signal strength and signal clarity) Hopefully when Rev A is launched Prime will become the default Lite package lol ;)

I was given the option to upgrade to the Prime but was also told that in the next month or so that the Rev A series would be out, so I have not upgraded to the Prime and would rather wait a month or 2 until Rev A is here to upgrade.

From what I understand the technician had said, the Rev A Device's are here already, just need to be approved by the various regulatory bodies and the public should have access to the Rev A series pretty soon. So October doesn't sound to far out *holds thumbs*

I will burn every bit that I can through that connection once Rev A comes and the higher upload speeds become available. I need to backup VM images to Amazon's S3 service using Jungledisk. At 30 gigs a pop if I do the backup once a week I will easily use 120 gigs. Whether the service can manage that once more people sign up is another thing...
