How many hours on average do you sleep a day? According to popular sources adults, on average, require 7-9 hours per day. Do you get that much or maybe more? Do you battle to get enough sleep? Do you nap during the day?

Always sleep badly.
Nothing helps.
Refuse to become a pill junky.
Occasionally say once every 4 weeks, will manage to get a 9 hour sleep in a 24 hour period

Anything over 5 is fine for me. I'm mid 30s. Maybe a 20 minute nap in the afternoon if I feel like it.

I don't think that the globally recommended 8 hours is correct. Imagine you were snacking on biltong over the course of a day. Imagine how much energy your body would expend in keeping your entire digestive system working 16 hours a day. Imagine how much more energy you could theoretically preserve by eating at specific times and having an empty stomach for the remainder of the day.

I get between 6 & 8 hours sleep a night. The problem is when I get to bed early, like before 22h00, then I wake up 30 minutes to an hour before the alarm.

Six or seven hours in summer. Nine hours minimum in winter.

The best cure for sleeplessness for me is proper, completely exhausting physical activity. Now that I'm unfit, a short 3 hour hike, half and hour run or a 45 minute workout can do that for me. On these days I sleep like a baby.

I need about 7 - 7:30 it seems. I wish I could feel rested after 6.

6-9 hours but I think when I am sleeping well it's usually close to 8

You guys better read the exam papers properly before blindly starting to answer the questions.

He said per day.

I am currently averaging 5 hours of sleep, and it has become unbearable. My concentration is shot, not to mention a noticeable indication of amnesia.
