Recently I've found myself buying more and more prepaid cap. I use the computer every day and my browsing alone (social network sites, news websites, NO youtube) come to about 100-200mb a day.

How much do you use on browsing?

I use about the same as you, squirrel. I do visit Digg (and therefore the videos it links to) as well as a digital photography forum which use up a lot of bandwidth. If you are trying to cut down your usage, here's two things you can try:

1. Use Firefox, with the Adblock Plus extension installed to do away with downloading most advertisements from the sites you visit. There are also other scripts you can install, such as a script to block all JavaScript (I think it is called NoScript) and something to block all embedded Flash, until you click on each and enable it (FlashBlock, I think - not sure). You could also browse with images off if you like.

2. Use an RSS reader for your most frequented web sites. I use Google Reader: www.google.com/reader It will aggregate feeds (headlines on updates made) from your favourite web sites into a single, (mostly) text based interface similar to that of Gmail. That way, instead of hitting all your sites again (and using up bandwidth required to re-download all the pages' contents), you just refresh Google Reader to see if any of your favourites have new content. If they do, you can just click the headline in Google Reader to be taken directly to the content you are interested in. I've been using this for a little over a month now, and it is fantastic - I've made it my homepage.

Around 100mb per day without downloading anything.

I look forward to the day when I don't have to restrain myself while using the internet.

using route sentry im able to keep my international browsing under 120MB a day.

Just surfing this site, its saves me about 20 MB a day.

i use abt 150 -250 a day for just plain browsing, nothing intensive.

if i use youtube and all those things that the "real" internet has... i easily clock up a gig a day.

mmo: 60-160MB
surfin/emails: 100-270MB
NS runs: 1-8G

my logs say between 20mb and 30mb if not downloading anything just browsing
from 5pm to 11pm about weekdays

I have about 200-400 GB traffic/month.
The most traffic I have because of downloading videos.
