How much can I sell my desktop computer for?

My pc specs are:
Intel Celeron 2.4GHz
120GB Hard drive (a 40GB hard drive and a 80GB hard drive)
632 MB of RAM
19" LCD Acer Monitor
DVD RW Combo
Windows XP: Home Edition, SP 3
64MB Intel Graphics
Keyboard and optical mouse
2.1 Ch Creative Speakers

I bought this computer way back in March of 2005, I then bought another hard drive, more memory and an lcd monitor (sold the CRT monitor) which I bought towards the end of 2007.

If there are any other pc specifications that I left out, please inform me.

So, how much can I sell my pc for? What is a fair price for both me and the buyer?

In all honesty, R1500 for a 5 year old Celeron. I'd rather buy a netbook for R2000. You'd be lucky to get that. I can buy a brand new Desktop, ex monitor and OS for R1800, which is a higher spec. So it would be a tough sell in all honesty. The biggest thing you have going for you is Windows and a monitor. As the buyer, I'd think I was getting ripped off. But that's just me. I'd pay no more than a grand.
 
How much would you sell the lcd monitor? How about the windows xp home edition?

I think R600 for the lcd monitoris a fair price, and then maybe R400 for the xp home edition. So in essence R2000 for everything is a fair price?
 
Again, 3 year old 19" LCD vs brand new 18.6". Can source brand new for 900, so I'd halve that for an old monitor, which is out of warranty. R500. In all honesty, I wouldn't buy the machine because it has Windows on it. Home edition of all versions as well. You technically speaking cannot sell the Windows on it's own, so that argument doesn't pitch. I still think R1000 is your top end, but as Moklet says, donate to a worthy cause is a better idea. Depending on where you live, there are many places that could use it properly.
 
I concur. Rather donate that to some needy cause/friend/family member. You really won't get much for it.
 
I'll think about donating it, or maybe I'll just sell the monitor as well as the xp home edition software, and donate the rest, I shall see.
 
If your 'Doze is an OEM version you won't be able to sell separately.
