Apparently there are only a few of them in SA. It's brand new and has a warranty still.

Depends on how much he paid for it I'd say. If I were to sell something, regardless of how rare it is or how new it is, I'd probably ask for whatever I paid for it and a bit extra to cover P&P

Then again, if you stole it, I can relate as to why you'd wonder how much you could sell it for

Tell him that I'm also willing to accept it as a prize but I will pay in the amount for postage, in that way he gets his cost back and won't be making a loss.

I would take a comparable android tab and put it in a similar price range.

Mind you he will have to drop quite a bit, I wouldn't buy something privately with basically no technical support which is what "Apparently there are only a few of them in SA" boils down to.
