Hi

Thinking might go with SADV one day but the way to my house involves flower beds, shallow water pipes, and the like, not just grass. I am on openserve now but wondering just how much destruction would be involved as I haven't seen what trenching in residence is like compared to a road.

Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

They damaged my front wall and paving. After fighting they came back and fixed the paving which was done poorly. Ended up with a sunken section of the drive way as they didn't compact it properly.

The front wall has chunks of concrete missing where they mounted that box.

Forgot to add the inside job is also bad. The fiber comes through the wall to the ONT device was just left hanging on the floor. You would expect some sort of trunking.

Maybe I was just unlucky and had a bad team of installers

you can ask them to run the fibre cables against the inside side wall instead of below the ground

If you have openserve then you can't get SADV.

I'm curious as to the reason ?
They trenched my entire road (which is a cul-de-sac with no housing complexes or businesses) long after openserve was active.

Please PM me your address.

As regards to trenching from the bwb to your house, our installation team will meet with you on the day to discuss route options, so you can come up with a least destructive way.

Also, remember, trenching through grass/flower beds is usually not too bad, as we replace everything, and after a spot of rain you'd never even know anythingwas done.

Whats wrong withe using the openserve routing?
That will most likely be an aerial route and we only offer trenched solutions. (or in rare cases as mentioned we will install surface mount - only in your property though)
