My Galaxy S2 will be in my grimy hands before lunch on Monday morning. So, I would like to know how much data do I need a month without going bankrupt. I will be using WiFi when at home after 18:00 and on weekends. I don't have access to WiFi at work.

Will be using mostly for social media, some apps & email And browsing the internet, espcecially at work where most sites are restricted.

if you have wifi you wont need much mobile data.

I leave syncing on and have never gone over 100mb mobile data.

I use quite a bit more on wifi.

when not using wifi about 150mb to 200mb a month. Email, facebook, whatsapp and occasionally web browsing

The way I see it, you have an amazing phone with fantastic capabilties...use it. I love to download new apps on the go, surf the web, use google maps, play online games etc.

I use around 600 mb per month and i can easily use more. I mostly browse and emails . and i have wifi at home although i only use wifi for app updates....

Damn thinking back on my E71 i used +- 40-50 mb a month.

300 to 500MB over mobile and at least the same over Wifi

I reckon you aim to use 600MB a month even with the wifi network at home. It generally all depends how much you actually going to use it but basically put if you use it then 600MB should cover it.

on my BB, is about 500meg just for emails. When and if I get my S2, it'll probably double that!
Not looking forward to it!

I got my p7100 on Friday afternoon. By Friday evening I'd burned through the included 500mb, and while I downloaded a fair number of apps for the tablet I can't think I actually used 500mb given how small the apps are. The helpdesk said it was probably device updates, which sounded like a good explanation until I saw that the tablet was still running 3.0.1 & there hadn't been any large updating going on....

Since then I've recharged with R220, and have only R75 or so left, and I'm no closer to knowing where all the data is going so quickly, so if anyone can offer a suggestion how to monitor & control my data use I'd appreciate it....
