How much data will upgrading my galaxy s2 gingerbread to a new android version use?

Hi people!

I have a limited 2gigs pm 3g data plan for my internet use. I want to upgrade my android version using kies but I need to know how much data the upgrade will use before I can proceed.

Any info here will be much appreciated. i cant find any answer to this on google...

Why not go to a free wifi spot (mcdonalds or food lovers) log onto their free wifi and do it there.

Shouldn't be more than 650mb, I remember S2 ROMs were not that large really.

Get to a WiFi connection and download there.

If you still have 4.1 it will be 400MB then the second upgrade 650MB

Okay thanks guys. I got an android version of 2.3.4 ... And i have a desktop pc windows xp...

If my internet connection broke / paused / interrupted during the upgrade would my phone be completely screwed?

My phone is still under warranty... only reason i want to upgrade is so that i can get bbm.

No, it downloads it first, then verifies the package and then upgrade.

So if ur internet stops, download stops until you have internet again

Once its all downloaded, it will upgrade....only when it upgrades and ur batteries dies, then theres a possibility ur phone will be screwed
