how much does your camera bag weigh?

Did you get the whole "Hand baggage must not weigh more than 7gk" speach? I love getting to the end of their rant and asking very nicely for them to guarantee the value of everything in the bag and if they do then what the hell let it ride in the hold. I normally get a "Um, maybe you can take it on with you, just this once." Aceholes!

12kg is a bit of a beast tho. Hehehe.

12kg's is quite a bit to lug around hey!? Plus you have a separate laptop bag :O

I think my gear weighs in at about 4kg's and with my laptop and chargers it takes it up to 7kg or 8kg

Three bodies (1DMk3, 7D, and my p&s (400d), two flashes, and lenses (incl the rather bulky 300mm which I've decided will not be living in the bag) - plus assorted batteries and chargers.

Mines about 2kg's atm.

That includes camera body, integrated flash and integrated lens ... oh, and my SD card

Mine is sitting in roughly at about 4kg now without tri-pod

you can add another 2.5kg for tri-pod.

I've put mine on a massive diet now that I'm back home. Took out the 300mm f/2.8, the 400D and assorted chargers and added a nikon P&S.

I need a case for the 300mm though - second hand apparently means missing a case, hood, and lens cover. (I bought an Aquatech soft hood to replace the hood and some woolies choc brownie ice cream took care of the missing cover.)
