Hi Guys

I'm looking at buying a Friends Computer it has the below specs how much would you pay for it:

CPU: i7-4790 @ 3.60Ghz
Ram: 16GB DDR3
HD: 120GB SSD
Video: Titan Black
Case: NZXT with fancy lights

Just the box no screen etc.

That card alone brand new is about R 18K

Depending on the age, I would say about R 20k - R 25k depending on the Mobo, RAM and so on. And also whether it comes with the peripherals or just the case

The computer is 2 yeas old. Don't you think you can build a new computer with DDR4 ram etc. for less then 20K?

WAS worth. Today it's probably R4k if you're lucky. The Titan Black is a modified version of the 780ti with extra ram, mainly meant for compute purposes. You'd be better off getting a 1060 for R5k.

OP I'd say 9k for what you posted.

4790 - 2500
16gb - 1k
120gb - 500
Titan Black - 4k
NZXT - 1k

The rest of the specs we dont know like other drives, mobo, psu.

CPU: i7-4790 @ 3.60Ghz - R5600 new so R3k second hand
Ram: 16GB DDR3 - R1300 new(assuming 2 8gb sticks) so R500 second hand
HD: 120GB SSD -- R800 new so R400 second hand
Video: Titan Black -- Old card, not worth much anymore, better to get a new card for less money.
Case: NZXT with fancy lights -- anywhere from R1200 - R3400 depending on case, at most 50% of new cost when second hand.

It has a MSI 287-G43 Gaming motherboard no other drives.

Isn't it the GTX Titan?

Apologies then. My mistake :o

It's an easy mistake given Nvidia's branding. You have Titan Black, Titan and the new Titan X, in order of power.

700 Series: Titan -> Titan Black -> Titan Z
900 Series: Titan X
10 Series: Titan X

People are calling the 10 series Titan XP (P for Pascal) to alleviate confusion.
