If she wants to live in that nice house in the northern suburbs, then I need my pc to work late and I can get things done on the epic uber machine. It's only R10k come on now.
I could have easily gone to R20k.:)

Tell her nobody wants to buy it

Economic depression etc etc give her all of that stuff, and tell her that PCs depreciate faster than a fat person falling down a flight of stairs
 
Since that is more or less the setup I want I'll give you R8.5K cash.
EDIT: Fine, I feel bad now, make it R9K.
I'm more a notebook person but it's been years since I had a decent rig to mess around with.
Also my G73 Notebook is soon going to start showing its age when the next gen. games hit.
This rig will do just fine... :)

Hey at least she will know where you are - in front of the uber PC, playing games.

Much better than worrying at which bar is he NOW.
 
I can not believe the women of today. I am so lucky that my wife understands my PC/Gaming needs. Like last year when I bought my current case and parts for arround R 16 500 there was no questions asked just a comment "that looks nice so when am I getting my laptop". Just a month or so later the laptop was there.

On another note...the R9k seems to be a good offer so I would take that in the end if you are forced to sell it. Regarding the blue LED's, just switch the machine off otherwise just stick a piece of presstick over them so that they do not bother your women....

If the R8k is a genuine offer, you're lucky.

Rule of thumb wrt to PC/hardware sales is: no matter if it's 3 days or 7 months, the sale should be -40% of the original price. Used is used.

But bloody hell, don't sell ffs! :D

LOL. Dude, thats exactly right. I still have the "Celeron", and "Designed for XP" stickers on my entry level PC I got from Game 5yrs ago. But its guts are completely new.

OP, I hope you're sorted and not starving...seriously.

Rig sold :) happy but sad at the same time. Patience. My gaming rig will come in due time. Didn't even get to play one game on it. Oh well I know raptorsa will enjoy it throughly.
