hey just a bit confused here, dont have expert knowledge on computers. Just roughly name your price? if you were to buy second hand

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (Socket 775)
2Gb DDR2 667MHz (4 x 512Mb Sticks)
160Gb Seagate 7200rpm Hard Drive
Sony 18x DVD Writer (Brand New)
450Watt PSU
ASrock ConRoe945G-DVI Motherboard (Link)
Small Form Factor case with Temperature Sensors
Again I will sell with the 17" Silver phillips LCD
 
Make the ram 2x 1gb DDR2-800, about the same price, faster and you can still upgrade to 4gb later on.
Make sure the hdd is SATA, not ide
ASrock, entry level board, probibly not bad, but i believe you need a good platform to build a desent machine on. Spend more money here.
Motherboard, CPU & RAM are the 3 things that needs to be purchased togher. The rest will just add-on.

If i count averages i'll say around R4500 +- including the LCD (Depending on your PSU and Motherboard* maybe less if its a Generic Powersupply and NON-SLI motherboard
 
Napalm's got it about right, depends on the seller as well really.

Spiderz, he isn't talking about buying a new system btw.. this is secondhand, the parts aren't negotiable.
 
You guys are helpful...the person selling this is looking for R5200, nothing less

Wouldnt take an sata hdd if you paid me, they break, had 2x sata hdd's fail in server machines and 0 ide failures, also sata cant come close to the speed it advertises, similar to ibursts claims of speed, they dont exist and can never be reached.

maybe I'm a little out (don't know how but I missed the LCD when I first
read the post. sorry), but I based my number on the fact that I sell boxes
with the following spec for R4500:

Core 2 Duo E4400 - 2.00GHz Processor
Intel 'Iselton' 946GZ M/board
(2 x) Adata 1GB DDR2 667MHz RAM
Seagate 160GB SATAII Barracuda Hard-drive
LG 20X Super Multi DVD-Rewriter
Isonic '536' Chassis w/25cm Side-Fan & 400W PSU

so one of these, plus a GeForce 7600GS 256MB for a bit less than
a grand... not a bad little puppy for R5500

6200 geforce/256 ddr2 agp
lg 20x supermultidvd writer
5 button optical mouse.
Vista business licenced and up to date
2 hardrives
one 80 gig with vista and the other (40 gig) xp media centre edition(dual boot and licenced)
2 gig ram ddr2 667
mobo is a ga-vm800pmc(agp slot)
Cpu is a socket 775Dual processor 3.06 ghz(genuine intel processor) with hyper threading enabled by motherboard.(no monitor only the box and the keyboard mouse)
So what can i get for it
