In the last 12 years I've only changed my cellphone number once. That was when I changed from Cell C to Vodacom many moons ago.

How often have you changed primary numbers? And was it a mission letting all your old contact know about the change in numbers?

I am now considering getting a new Cell C contract and use the new number as my primary number. I am currently spending too much on calls & data with Vodacom.

Probably 4 or 5 times since my first number. I dont really get attached to my number and if I start a new job who give me a work number I will cancel my contract when it expires and just use the work one, then of course I get a new job so I get a new number and so on and so forth.

Once MTN to Cell C, I still have the MTN number but the Cell C number is the primary one now and I also have a 8ta number.

I have changed a few times... mostly without hassle. A few sms's or emails and 90% of my contacts were fine. The only person who still used my old number is my grandmother but I kept it on prepaid for 6 months and just told anyone who used it about my new number.

once, when I went from prepaid to contract about 10 years ago....

Never. I had my number from Grade 9.
I ported my number from Vodacom, then to MTN, and now going to port over to Cell C

Only once about 10 years ago...porting my VC to CellC soon...quite attached to my number

Two numbers since '94... My current one since '03.

I'm thinking of getting a CellC number when my MTN contract expires on the 11th. Too many call centres have my current number and phoning me for crap each and every day!

When I got my contract 4 years ago. Not since and not prior

I have about a year left on my Vodacom contract and the cell c contracts are looking more and more attractive. That's why I can't port over my existing number.

I have been using my current number since 2006.
