How often does Telkom assign new IPS?

Question...

How often does Telkom assign new IPS? Is there a specific pattern?

I'm setting up crontab to update the DYNDNS.ORG server with my new IP and want to update as accurately as possible.

Use the ip-up script to kick off the dyndns update. That way it'll run everytime your box re-connects.

Can't see a pattern; I've had the same ip now for about 2 weeks; before that, everytime I connected, I got a new ip..

It's supposed to change every 24 hours, as adlo stated. Telkom originally claimed this was for your own protection (hmmmph). But I've also noticed the same IP for days. So who knows.....I don't even think Telkom knows themselves.
