I've just ordered my ADSL to avoid the rush on Friday after the new ADSL regulations are published on Thursday forcing affordable ADSL.

But - from what I understand after reading this article on the SAT monopoly ending - http://www.mybroadband.co.za/nephp/?m=show&id=3775 - is that the new regulations mean that ICASA's complaints & compliance commission decisions are binding until a court says otherwise - so Telkom cant use the courts as a delaying tactic.

I could be interpreting more than I should be but that's how it seems to me.

ordered my new line with adsl on the 26 may, after 72 days it finally got installed. Their excuse was that new lines take long as there were no open ports on the telephone pole by my house or something like that. But at least they gave me a 384 line after ordering a 192 line.

Ordered mine on 27th Feb. Got installed day before yesterday. How many days is that? Almost 5 1/2 months... And yea. I got a 384 instead of the 192 I ordered as well.
