Hi All,

We're looking at using MWEB's POP3 catch-all mailbox account, the MAPILabs POP3 connector would grab the mail from MWEB and then distribute the mail to the individual exchange mailboxes.

Is POP3 security of a high standard? ie. Username and password encrypted? I've heard the password is sent as clear text and the account can be easily accessed/hacked.

Your expertise and advice please.

Cheers

You can enable SSL if you want. MWEB would need to support it though. No idea if they do.

How To Forward Emails to Multiple Recipients in Gmail or Google Apps

As you may know, Google provides 2 factor authentication, so there's an extra layer of security built in with regards to logging in. Unless you have a domain name registered already, you might want to consider testing this as an option.

How To Forward Emails to Multiple Recipients in Gmail or Google Apps (article from 2012, but is the clearest I found).

Google Apps and Gmail do not provide a very clear way to forward Emails, from a particular account, to more than one. In order to accomplish forwarding Emails to multiple recipients, in Gmail, you will need to create a filter.
