How the ANC website was hacked

According to Mosima, passwords as weak as “NelsonOliver94” were used and the web software used — MySQL and PHP — were out of date and riddled with vulnerabilities.

Unfortunately, this is a cat-and-mouse game where the mouse sometimes gets the upper-hand, with hackers outpacing the numerous methods that are deployed to stop them.

Installing security related patches would be a good start in winning a cat and mouse game.
 
dat password though. I would never have guessed that in like 5 tries myself...
 
Well here's another 500 million being put towards a redesign and security upgrade to their site done by some overnight start up by some MP's nephew
 
Nah that manager is kidding they are not fighting any cat and mouse game, they are not doing anything except receiving funds from cancer
 
So who on here was it? I would be worried about that password, as it is probably used on other websites created by that web-company :whistle:
