How to bridge two D-Link DWL-2100AP

Hi,
My knowledge in wireless networking is basic.
I'm need to establish a home use wireless network connection between two locations, where there is a clear line-of-sight, the distance is not up to 120m.
I got two D-Link DWL-2100AP as well two flat panels antenna 18dbi which i can connect to the DWL-2100AP since the antenna is detachable.

On the first location i have ADSL modem which comes with 4 ethernet ports at the back side of it...it is set to DHCP...
Second location is my office where i only have an internal network between three pcs...

I found this link on google which is exactly my case:

after checking the manual of the DWL-2100AP i think i should use WDS with AP Mode or WDS only...
If possible please to get further help here... even if it is brief help i'll try to carry on after...

I would be grateful if i can have a basic help on how to do it?

Those 18Dbi antennas are way overkill for 120metres...you might even be able to get away with stock antennas.

Yes, its far too much for 120metres. What rsachoc is saying is that u may even get away with the standard antenna that the unit comes fitted with. The 18dbi antenna may send your signal way past that 120metres and possibly even reach several kilometres past that point.
 
Anyway i already have the antenna, moreover these flat panel antenna are not very expensive...

an 18 dBi panel will kill the channel in your area and give other people that are trying to use wireless a hard time.

one of the reasons why the 2.4GHz spectrum is so flooded with unnecessary noise

Can you please explain to me what is wrong with my configuration:
I am not working with d-link for the time being, I am using 2 linksys wrt54gs v.3 with two external flat pannel antenna one 18dbi and the other 16dbi (pigtail cable is 1 feet only between the antenna and the router)...both routers firmware is dd-wrt sp2... one is acting as an AP with an encryption "WPA pre shared key" and the second is set up as a "client bridge" I'm using it right now..it works but i could not get a signal more than 13% it is a very very very low signal i tried for hours to fine tune and move both antenna and i could never get better than 16%... again the distance is not up to 130m...
i tried to increase the transmit power from 28mw to 250mw without any improvement...
I want to mention than nothing is breaking both router's signal even though it is very weak... the weather now is very rainy and i can always ping both routers.
what can i do to have like at least 70% signal...

I am going to talk about the DWL-2100AP's you have because they are familiar to me. The correct way to setup you scenario is to take both Access Points to one room and set them up using the default antenna. (Meaning that you first need to get your Access Point setup correct before moving over to the 18dBi antennas).

1) Go to HOME > WIRELSS and choose WDS with AP.
2) Enter the oppsite DWL-2100AP's MAC Address in the first MAC space.
3) Enter an SSID, (this needs to be the same on both DWL-2100AP's)
4) Choose a channel, (this needs to be the same on both DWL-2100AP's)
5) Choose encryption, (this needs to be the same on both DWL-2100AP's)

And click APPLY.
Now do the same on the other DWL-2100AP.

To test whether they're working, plug one DWL-2100AP into your PC and just give the other one power, and try to ping them both.

Only when you get a reply from both then you can take them out and attach your 2 x 18dBi antenna's. Remember those antenna are built to primarily work optimum at a 2 km distance. 120 meters is a bit too close to fully use them 100%. But nevertheless because the gain is so high, the allignment of the antenna's needs to be perfect.
 
Very good thread! Just a note on security. It seems it will only accept shared/wep security in "WDS with AP" mode.... If somebody managed better security, please inform me, so that I can waste another hour or so trying... again...
