so for those who have cancelled their ADSL I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction. I know you have to give a full calendar months notice, so I need to get it right in a short period of time, other wise I'm stuck for another month.

can you cancel at a telkom shop?

No, you must phone 10210.

Repeat until you manage to convince the call centre operator to process your cancellation.

Make sure you get a ref number, take the full name of the operator and make a note of the time your application was processed BEFORE you moer the phone down!

You cannot cancel a Telkom account or even pay it at a Telkom shop. So I doubt that you will be able to cancel ADSL there.

The Telkoms shops appear to exist solely to employ previously unemployable people.

Oh and to provide a queue for people with nothing to do.

I'd suggest you call 10210 and press 5 then 3, remember they are only open until 5 pm. That's the number for the "Option Center".

LOL at both your responses....

Good thing you have a sense of humour, because you're going to need it.....

I cancelled at the end of February (service terminated on that day) and have just got a bill for mid March to mid April, even when I had no service for that period at all.....

.....and so it begins....
