Took a pre order package from Telkom, but now want to cancel. Spent hours on the phone yesterday with no luck, seems it's impossible to cancel a pre order, anyone else had any luck canceling one before?

When they call to confirm the deal you decline it, unless you've agreed telephonicly already. Then you need to follow the cooling off cancellation procedure in the T&Cs

I already confirmed the deal when they phoned, but now I need to cancel, seems I will have to wait for delivery, then not accept it, and then a month or two or three later it will only be cancelled if I look at what other people experienced trying to cancel a contract with them.

So I placed another order online, when they phoned me I was able to cancel the one I placed on Monday, just weird that 5 minutes after the call a debit order went off for R699, can never win with Telscum

That's the best way to get their attention. pretend you want to place an order. When they contact you you tell them that you want to cancel the previous order, get confirmation and only then proceed with the new order, which you decline once the original is cancelled.

And you will pay that amount every month until the day you die. And if you have children, so will they....

Yeah that's how telscum rolls, did a reverse this morning and placed a stop order on it so hopefully they can try again and again but will fail

I've done the exact same thing before.

Telkom added a R220 penalty to my next invoice for a Failed DO....
