Greencom have started providing fibre services to our complex (via metrofibre) and so far the service has been iffy.

fibre speeds - good
price for speed - bad
customer service - extremely poor/ non existent

Now there are more ISPs on Metrofibre that offer far more competitive rates, so the question is how can I get to use other ISPs and get rid of Greencom?

Few things to keep in mind that Greencom resells MFNs network, also MFNs access fees and line fees are quite high in comparison. So you might find some contention on the access portion.

I wanted to change from Greencom to Firestream, but MFN charges a fee for that privilege.

That doesn't make sense, they might charge a connection fee (basically a config fee), Firestream should argue that for you.

Really looking at these guys, R200 cheaper than the others but you do get what you pay for

Its fibre so i dont see any potential contention issues associated with ADSL (not yet anyways) - Greencom are not exactly world class by any means when it comes to service and I do not like the idea of being stuck to one service provider all my life. That will be like Telkom all over again.

As I mentioned MFN charge an access fee (similar to that of IPC) so there is definitely potential for contention at that level.

@PBCool i am wanting to move from Kiklo to you as a provider but with my understand is that i will have downtime is this correct ?

Bit of a problem as we cant be without internet?

MetroFibre Network as mentioned above, i recall that a new ONT/CPE CALIX (Junk) has to be installed at the new location again after Kiklo take theirs back.
