What's the best way to clean console controllers? Mine seem to take less time to get sticky with every subsequent gaming session. Before playing, I just wipe everywhere without buttons with a damp cloth and then rub the whole unit with a towel (I game in my room and the bathroom is a few metres away). Feels clean for the initial 10 minutes. I have a PS3 but the question applies to any input device.

Thanks!

Rubbing alcohol?

Benzene? (possible long term effects though?)

100% alcohol. Buy it at the pharmacy. The electronics won't damage. Worst that could happen is a the plastic could discolour a bit after a while

I just use a semi wet cloth and rub it all over for about 2 minutes. Use something thin for the sides (where the the 2 halves of the gamepad connects), there's a ****load of old skin and whatever you had on your hands in there.

I use window cleaner. Takes away all the gritty gritty.

Thanks guys. I have lots of pure alcohol as I use it to mix fragrances. I'll go through the suggestions one by one over the next few days.
