How to confirm EFT from Standard Bank?

When you make the make payment there's a box at the bottom to send confirmation mail/sms/fax to whomever you want.

No I mean I am receiving funds from Standard Bank. I want to confirm the Proof of payment. With FNB you enter the reference number on their website plus date and amount and you will know if it real or not....Seen too many fake documents in my time.

I was also wondering this when I did a payment on my girlfriend's profile yesterday. Basically you have to select someone to send a proof of payment to (which they charge for, bastardos). So stoooopid.

On FNB once you have made the payment you can just download a proof of payment pdf right there. For free.

With Standard Bank, if the money is not released yet from Standard Bank to your bank, the person paying can phone the bank request to cancel the transfer after they have sent proof of payment, and Standard Bank will do it without verifying anything from the payee's bank. Be careful! Easy way to be scammed.

My company has experienced this twice with Standard Bank.
