how to connect MC950D usb modem in linux mint (ubuntu)

thanx for the support in the past.
i have bought a usb modem from vodacom..
how do i connect with it?

i have used a pcmcia card up until now, connecting with wvdial.
what modifications do i need to make..

i installed the mobile connect card software for linux and it picked it up without problems!! ;-)
