Know nothing about android, some or other app is forever downloading something. How do I stop/schedule/control? Find nothing in settings.

It is in settings -> data traffic management, depends on the UI on the device but that's what it is called on mine

Download glasswire on the play store, that ap should be able to view what apps are going nuts. Im sure the app can block and stuff like that. Never used it.

Small hijack here but, I mainly download off my phone.. are there any apps i can set a download time so i can make use of my night data...?

Are you using the phone as a hotspot for another device? If it is a Windows device you can use a download manager for this. Give us a better idea of setup and I'm sure we can suggest something

Are you using Utorrent? I am not sure about the mobile app, but the desktop client can schedule when to download and when not to.

Before I had fibre, I used to set my downloads to only download when I am not at home, and from midnight to 4 am

Eish, maybe you should then leave the downloading for the Pro's and just leach from them :-)
