Hi, so i need to create monthly reports, that the attached images changed monthly.
so i created it in google docs, and instead of copy/paste the image, i created a link to a file on my google drive,
hopping that once i change the files on the drive, the document will auto update with the new images.
but it didn't work....
can someone please assist me in getting it done?
doesn't have to be google docs.....

Generally speaking, you will need 3 parts

Backend (Where you capture the content)
Database (Where the content is stored)
Report Engine (Fetches from the Database)

That way the report pulls what ever you entered into the database, thus making is "dynamic"

In Google Drive, Right-click the file, choose 'Manage Versions' from the menu and then click the Upload new version button to upload the updated file to your Google Drive.

Else use Dropbox and the link for the file.

With Google drive you can have multiple same name file names, not in dropbox, so replacing the same file name will update the image correctly without changing the link.

I actually came right, with word.
I will generate a report on the first and know for sure.

So i get a zip file with all the data every month, file names are the same.
in word, instead of dragging the image file to the document i did:
insert picture, from file, tools (on the bottom right),link to a file, and.....seems to be working!
