Hi People

I have a idea for a iPhone/iPad app and I would like to make it this year. Please note I am totally new to this and need as much information as possible. I have played around on Xcode. I have a few questions.

1. What is the best way to start?
2. Is there a project plan template for a app I can use?
3. Best learning material to use for beginners or noobs (Xcode, Obective C Course){Xcode is the development program used for creating iOS apps}
4. What is the best program to create images and pictures for the app like the logo or menu items etc.? ( Coral Draw, Photoshop)

Well, I'm guessing you have a mac that you want to do development on?
First thing I would do is look for some tutorials. There are some good ones on youtube.
If you prefer books, then look at "Sams Teach Yourself iOS Application Development in 24 Hours" the one I have is for iOS 5, but still relevant to give you the basics.
Also, the apple documentation is pretty good, sometimes a bit difficult to understand but look at it, there are plenty of examples in the documents that come with Xcode.
Then, the best way to learn is to start with a project plan of what you want to do, and do small steps.
Like for example, how to get data from a text field. If you cannot figure that out, google it. There are plenty of helpful examples on stack overflow that will get you going.
To create images, you can use just about anything. If you don't have the money for something like photoshop, then use GIMP, it works quite well on the Mac.
You basically need to have something that can make PNG / JPEG images

Thank you guys for the feedback. Is there any forum in SA i can join for programming help when I do not understand something?
