Hi Guys,

I am on the pre-paid option and stopped paying about 5 months ago, now i would like to completely be taken off the system.
Somehow it doesn't seem to be possible though.

Anyone knows what I can do, as I am under the impression that the pre-paid option is not a contract as such?

I tried to delete my vehicle, but that also doesn't seem to work.

Any advice would be appreciated, and no wise guys telling me what a fool I am/was for buying a tag in the first place......

Thanks

Well done on coming round to the side of justice ;)

Pretty sure you can't delete a vehicle, it's linked to eNatis. Read the terms and conditions of your agreement you signed with you registered, it should have a way of terminating the agreement.

I wish I could help but luckily I did not register and proudly do not even know how the system works.

Interesting question. I have prepaid E-tags too, easier to get through the roadblocks. Never paid a cent but would be interested to know how to get out if required. So, anyone that think they are boffins on e-toll. let's hear it.

Lol you can't even query your account properly with them now you want them to take you off. Good Luck with that...

Last night going through the bakwena tollgate, got a warning beep but the boom went up and the sign said "etag not allowed"........ do you think the system is now defunct?

Yoh, glad it opened. What if it said ef you and didn't open :O

I don't think you can deregister. That is why I won't register at all.

It must be possible from a legal perspective for people who sell their vehicles.
However having read the terms and conditions I think people must be absolutely crazy for signing up in the first place.

For those who did sign up, the contract for prepaid e-tolls is exactly the same as for the other payment methods.
Only the payment methodology changes.
