Hi there.
I see lots of people complaining about there internet disconnecting or giving other issues. So instead of replying to all the posts I'm going to tell all of you how you might solve it as it worked or me
my router was billion 800VGT
My ADSL about 1.5 - 2 years ago have been flapping for like 2 - 4 months. account was IS business uncapped. So I logged calls with IS in that time period and couldn't resolved it. Telkom went to my place and exchange lots of times and couldn't fix it. So they swapped my router out for a cisco one and all worked fine. They told me sometimes the billion 800VGT doesn't sync properly with ADSL lines.
Recently my I bought another Telkom router. Also 800VGT and it worked untill the upgrades. My line is syncing but my adsl account is not working. Can't browse, etc also my attenuation is a bit high as I'm not that far away from the exchange. I swapped my router with a D-link router and walla everything is fine again until now. My line attenuation is also better.
So there you have it. Try changing the router and see if it solve the problem for you. Try one from a friend.
