How to fix the digital town square

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and founder of Tesla and SpaceX, recently made an offer to buy the social media network Twitter for $44 billion. [The Conversation]

Yep Twitter is rather full of trolls and muck that gets inserted into your feed, making it a bit of chore to get to what you really want to follow. Personally, I've found Mastodon a lot better with choosing a node which has rules (or a common interest) that suites you. You can follow anyone (or hashtags) across the Fediverse, you get a chronological feed without adverts as every second post, and you can block whoever you want to - just ends up being more relevant.
