How to get data remaining?

MTN Active is not working. *162*pin# also does not work.
How do I check my balance? Don't say 808. Takes 1 hr to get it there.

This sucks big time. I now have no idea of my data balance.
Yes, I have been monitoring my own usage with Netmeter but I had a rollover and can't remember how much.
 
MTN is busy with some cwap maintenance. It'l be off till 16 September, unfortunately 808 only way
 
808: "As of 21 August you have..." Why I want to know my balance as of 21 Aug???

How crap can your service get? I'll be going back to vodacom after my contract expires.

Yeh. And I must wait an hour for an answer from 808. This is totally stuffed up. MTNActive is still off today. So is *162*

Another day and no 162 balance. Now 6 days. My bundle kicks in this Monday. How do I know if I am going over?
