How to get to eBucks Level 5 with new rules

FNB customers may find it slightly easier to move up its eBucks Rewards Levels with the changes to the programme on 1 July 2026.

FNB announced several upcoming enhancements to eBucks this week, including two new partners and higher discounts on devices bought through its eBucks partner store.
 
That said, it will not be possible for most people to reach Level 5 without at least taking up one or two products or services that attract a fee.

Home loan doesn't give you many points. They're pointing to the life insurance products. The insurance products are a potential 5500 points, whereas a home loan is 1500 potential points.
 
I can't complain. R9k from Jan until May this year, practically pays for my next international flights later this year.

And this all from shopping on the PnP ASAP app, and fuel at Engen. Could be earning more, but don't have some of the other products required for the extra fuel earn.
