How to get that better than normal connection ?

Hi, i have a 384k connection and for the last month that i have had it i have been downloading at a flat 54k a sec. Which is the better than normal speed. All of a sudden though i have been cut down to size and i only get the 41k a sec i'm ment to get. My question is, is this purely a telkom thing? Do you have to reconnect and maybe you get lucky enough to connect at the better speeds, or is it software on my side?

I have the same "problem" downloads at 54kB after hours, on a 384 line. Too scared to even try for a 1024 upgrade, because, knowing them, I will be reduced to 384 speeds....

So maybe i should try connect at night and do a d/l test. Thats what i normally do to see if i'm normal or on better speeds. It used always connect on better speeds though. :-(
