How to handle E-Mail on multiple devices

between:
- desktop (Debian, Arch, Win7, Fedora, Gentoo)
- laptop (Snow Leopard, Debian)
- Galaxy Tab
- Nexus One phone

IMAP has not let me down.

I run TB on my computers and K9 on my devices.

As other have noted use IMAP.

If you're not happy with the webmail suggestions, and find IMAP slow on Outlook there is a another option: Thunderbird. Thunderbird is an email program from Mozilla that supports IMAP. There's a similar Mozilla program called Sunbird for help managing calendars.

Info here: http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/

K9 FTW

Personally I just go for the send everything to google and let gmail sort it out, but I can see many companies having issues with this so I would not recommend it without you employers permissions.

If you do, turn on paranoia mode and switch to 2-step authentication.
