How To Identify Devices On Wi Fi Network?

Hey guys and girls.

I been thinking about what devices are connected to my wi fi network here at home and went online and saw a list of active and inactive devices and the majority only have numbers linked to them so I don't know what they are, how do I identify these devices by name?

If you don't have a dns server that registers the device names the only thing you can do is lookup the MAC address and tye and identify the device by manufacturer.
