How to improve signal strength / speed?

I live in a townhouse complex in Amberfield, Centurion. Most of the time I am able to browse the internet at relative decent speeds. I noticed, though, that when I do a speed test, I don't get great results.

Let me explain. When I do a speed test on my phone on Vodacom 4G while at home, I always get around 5-7 Mbps download speed, never more than that. When I do the test at the shopping mall 500m from my house, I get around 14 Mbps. At one of my friend's house, as the crow flies about 700m from me, I also get 14 Mbps. So it seems that my house is in a bad spot.

The same story when I used Telkom Mobile last year, at my house the signal was unstable but barely 500m away in different directions, the signal was excellent.

What can I do to improve the situation at my house?

Lucky you have Vodacom LTE at your house. I can get 3 bars EDGE and NO 3G or LTE. Imagine how painfully slow it is for me... :(

Best way is with a antenna but then again you won't be able to hook up a antenna cable to a phone. So a booster would solve your problem but hightly doubt vodacom will install a booster if you are getting 5-7Mbps
