How to make your SSD last longer

Oh, wait. I think some Adobe applications need it, like After Effects or Photoshop. I vaguely remember when installing CS4 or CS5 a few years ago saying I can't install it because it requires a page file.
Bingo. A small page file also does not work.

Scratch discs and such. There's no reason to disable paging anymore.

Not really, what I do in any case is to make a small 2gb pagefile on the SSD, and system allocated on another HHD so if there is problems you have additional allocated space, however I managed to choose a drive that wasn't accessed often enough ended up crashing windows every time as a result. However I have since reverted to a normal HDD, as CS5 and plugins and various tools I use, I can easily write up to 300gigs a day or more

Just isn't practical for me to use an SSD.

If your hard drive doesn't have "management software", is there a reliable 3rd party program that can do the same? Have been using mine for like 5 years now, so I'm getting curious.

The tools generally just display the SMART info which is available in your BIOS also. You can try CrystalDiskInfo or SSD Life...used those before and they work quite nicely.
