Afternoon everyone,

How do you choose the right car jumpers to buy? Is it a matter of the more expensive the better, or is there more to it?

Just for context, I drive a Hyundai i10.

400A should be enough for that but get a 1000A-2000A+ rather since the price difference isn’t that much and you can use it for larger cars.

They do unfortunately and apparently not good to leave them fully charged. Not sure of the technology of these jump starters, but I will forget to check the charge every couple of months.
Romoss is a good brand, have some of their stuff for years now.
Friend went with this specific one, I had to go with the Anker version.

You do get a couple jumps from it, so even if you forget about it, it wouldn’t be completely useless.

Do you check it once a year or can you just leave it with spare and forget?

You can leave it, it functions as a normal power bank also so I use it when a planned lunch turns into a discussion going into supper because it’s always there.

I bought this unit a few months back after some research. https://www.monsterpower.co.za/
It sells on Takealot for about R2200 but I bought it directly from their website. I see it still advertises for R1599. Service was great when ordering. Ordered on day one and received it early on day 2.
