How to protect yourself against data breaches

Even if I did all of that, my info is out there because people don't look after it. Why should my business be POPI compliant, and big companies that have the means to protect our info doesn't.

This is really irritating me. So someone can open accounts and take out loans, and now I need to proof it wasn't me. We are in for a lot of fun.
 
  • Conduct regular credit checks to verify whether someone has applied for credit using your information.
  • Investigate and register for credit-related alerts offered by credit bureaus.

Do you mean secure credit bureaus like Equifax?
