is it possible to see how much u must pay or u will b paid. I have an IRP5 but the numbers don't say anything to me since I don't even know what they mean, what is the advantage of letting some people called tax consultant file my tax, are they any different to going to SARS and efilling. I have been filling for the past 3 years yet I haven't got anything back while some get thousands, today my medical aid statement says I have R757 tax claimable...

go to sarsefiling, fill in the forms (your accountant would already have uploaded all the stuff for you) save and you can click on calculate before you file.

if it has a -R you get cash back, if it has an R they give you cash.

Did mine yesterday, eFiling is pre-populated. I just added my RA's & medical expenses not covered by medical aid. I was flagged again for audit - was flagged last year too (Having cancer is expensive :(). This year I had been a Little wiser, I submitted all my medical expenses to discovery, so it reflects on their tax certificate for me ;) no more scanning hundreds of slips / scripts etc. Just 3 pages, RA certificate, Medical certificate & IRP5.

lol, been up since 4:30, went to bed at 1, not thinking clearly, thank you for the correction :)

Was flagged last year, this year very easy, did it Monday, cash was in yesterday morning.

the IRP 5 info should be pre-loaded in efiling. just confirm with the codes. if you dont have anything else to claim or declare just update you details and calculate.

I have two IRP5's, I started working for the new company in December '11, how do I go bout this?

in efiling on the first page you must choose the number of irp5's received. it will load an additional page.

My eFiling had 2 on it already (pre-populated) although the second one was just a tax directive for an RA I had canceled last year. But as above, if you manually put 2, then just populate each one individually, pretty easy stuff.
