How to remove DiscounExt Adware?

Any ideas?

Tried things like spybot, malwarebytes, adcleaner etc

Cannot find the installed culprit and removing the browser plugin is only temporary.

That's fine & normal.

The browser has a plugin which you can uninstall/delete but it's not long before it gets injected back into the browser. Somewhere there is a hidden/disguised process or app that reinstalls the crap.

I've looked at installed apps, startup processes etc & I just can't spot it.

Recently fought a similar extension on Chrome. The only thing that worked was completely uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome.

Not needed. Just use use ADW Cleaner, CCcleaner, Malwarebytes scan, Re-Install Chrome.

Ok I uninstalled chrome & deleted whatever remnants of it I could find. I then ran adwcleaner, ccleaner, malwarebytes, spybot, pcdecrapifier in safe mode, avast boot scan and none of them found anything, clean bill of health as per the previous times I ran them. I now reinstalled chrome and will see how it goes.

Already tried that, does not work unfortunately.

posting mobile while at supplier, so don't have access to a PC right now.

display hidden files, then go to where chromes preference extentions(or similar name) are.
delete it/them
under doc and set, user, app data, I think.
make sure no connected net when you delete

immediately run adwcleaner again.
after it requests restart your bugs will be gone.

only saw this now.
those bugs hide as hidden extensions and target chrome specifically.
could have been cleaned by deleting the right files.
