how to retrieve bbm chats without having chat history

I need urgent help. Legal reasons. I need to retrieve bbm chat messages, but i didnt even know there was a chat history option, so mine is disabled and also,the person deleted me as a contact. How can i retrieve them? It is very urgent, i can also get a letter from a lawyer stating that i need it.

It's possible if you had a loooooooooot of moneys to subpoena RIM to access the encrypted chat logs but unpractical
