Replaced all my bulbs with LED about two years back. From 100watt to 7watt, wife says she could see about a R300 drop in electricity use. I bought Osrams, back then. The only ones I could find that was cheap and could dim. R120 each. Think I already made back the expense.

Haha. My geyser is set to 40 deg. It's helped quite a lot. Also have LED lights. Electricity bill is +- R550/month (4 people in the house)

Ouch! That is the ideal temperature for the growth for Legionella pneumophila, which causes Legionnaires Disease. If I were you, I would raise that temperature to at least 60 degrees.

Yup I believe 55 is the lowest one wants to go before bacterial issues crop up. It's what mine's set to.

Clients need to wake up to some hard realities. However, not all clients are as switched off to change. BP Head Office in Cape Town adapted long ago. If they are battling to adjust, start with 21deg in winter and 24 deg in summer, for immediate savings.
