How to set the perfect aircon temperature

In any office, home or other shared space, there’s almost always someone who’s too cold, someone who’s too hot – and someone who doesn’t know what the fuss around the thermostat is all about.

Most often, building owners and operators find out how their heating and cooling systems are doing by asking occupants if they’re comfortable or whether they want to be cooler or warmer.

Fahrenheit wouldn't be so bad as a scale of 0-100 (37 C), where 100 was the threshold of deeply unpleasant heat. Like an alternative temperature unit to indicate human comfort. But 0 C is 32 F, so the whole system is retarded.

Well I replaced my crap aircon with a decent one, so it better last.

21-23 Degrees, then all your laptops/pc's are ok too etc, but thats not all, theres Humidity too, probably 55-65, but I may be wrong here.

Not if you keep it running the whole time. The lower you set it the longer it runs. As I understand it, the degrees on the aircon doesn't make it blow cooler air. It just tells the aircon at what degree it must 'switch off'.

Correct the air con always pumps the same temperature of air into the room.

People somehow thing turning it down make the air cooler but it doesn’t, it just runs the unit for longer so that the ambient temperature of the room matches the setting.

I believe Google runs their DCs at 25 because it makes no difference and saves a lot of power. There is a big misconception that electronics runs better or lasts longer the colder it is, when it is in actuality humidity and temperature changes which are the problem.

The best way to set an aircon temp is to set it and then hide the remote. It makes for interesting office politics/fights.
