How to setup a wifi hotspot?

A friend of mine is running a restaurant,he wants to offer internet access to his customers.Now he has a wireless adsl router with wep encrypition enabled,but this seems not very convenient.

At Mugg & Bean or Dulce cafe,when you try to connect to internet,their pages open and ask you for username and password,and you can buy credit with your credit card, how to setup a facility like this?

This has been discussed a couple of months ago by someone with a guest house ... just search through the forums, you'll get it. There is specific software to enable that login stuff
