Haha if you car has automatic wipers the car basically tells the guy to f off. When he sprays the water onto the windscreen it wipes it away directly

Pepper spray, stream type. As he aims to wash, lift your hand with the can so he can see it. They seldom proceed to wash or to spray your side windows with their filthy water.

If one is arrogant enough to filth your car up, especially on the passenger side where he thinks you cannot get him, use the stream-function of your pepper spray. Aim in his general direction, over your car's roof, and let out a brief squirt. Even if it misses him, it typically hits another car and mists and if he is close-by it will irritate his eyes well enough.

Honestly I don't mind people trying to do something for money but I HATE vultures who force the situation and then demand it. And lets face it, windscreen washing on the street is a really dumb/useless idea - opportunistic much. Every car has a spray to clean the windscreen and every time you refuel it gets done there as well.

If they want fast cash on the street they should sell coffee instead. Wimpy did it to promote theirs and made a killing. I'm surprised no one capitalized on that idea...
