I've just bought an Acer laptopn with built-in 3G, and I've bought an MTN SIM card. The laptop only has Vodaphone software pre-installed. How would I go about connecting to MTN 3G?

Try to download and run excellent MDMA for MS Vista, operator's independent, to replace your local dashboard.

It should have a dashboard loaded on it. The Huawei dash is called Mobile Partner. You can use any SIM with it.

Some dashboard applications are build to communicate with computer facilities of a respective telecom operator, the same with firmware version.

Huawei advised me on one telecom operator provided with Huawei modems featuring USSD support for balance check.
